Here’s how to grow crystals at home
Things that you might need
- Alum
- Boiling water
- Scissors
- Cardboard
- Pipe cleaner
- Food colour
- Fishing line/ Thread
Procedure
- Take a glass container, add 200 ml boiling water and 90 grams of alum.
- Stir the solution until the alum dissolves in the boiling water and it turns transparent.
- Add a few drops of a food colour of your choice to the solution.

- Roll a pipe for the crystal to grow
- Cut a cardboard to comfortably tie the fishline that will hold the pipe cleaner.
- Tie the pipe cleaner and suspend the base in the solution.

- Wait for 12 hours.
- Take the suspension base, which will have a crystal deposition ib it, out slowly.
- Reheat the solution and add 30 grams alum to it.
- After the solution cools down, suspend the base back into it.
- Redo the process and the crystals would have grown.
